Woodall Mountain summit

Woodall Mountain is the highest point in Mississippi and located in the northeast part of the state near the town of Iuka. The mountain is fairly easy to get to from U.S. highway 72 in Iuka via state route 25 and county roads 187 and 176. On 176 you will see a sign for the mountain and then follow a well maintained gravel road for one mile. The upper sections of the road are narrow and steep but passable by any car.

The view from the summit

On the summit there is boulder with a plaque marking the high point and a mailbox that acts as a register. There are also several towers and a narrow view to the northwest via a power line clearing.
